Carbon black is an amorphous carbon. Light, loose and extremely fine black powder with very large specific surface area ranging from 10-3000m2/g is the product of incomplete combustion or thermal decomposition of organic matter (heavy oil, fuel oil, etc.) under the condition of insufficient air.  made of oil is called "lamp black", made of acetylene is called "acetylene black". In addition, there are "trough black", "furnace black".
According to the properties of carbon black, there are "reinforced carbon black", "conductive carbon black", "wear-resisting carbon black" and so on. Can be used as a black dye, for the manufacture of Chinese ink, ink, paint, etc., also used as a reinforcing agent for rubber.
