Dimethyl silicone oil, i.e. polydimethylsiloxane, is colorless, odorless, non-toxic oily liquid, It is also non-volatile, with good chemical stability, excellent heat resistance,electrical insulation, weather resistance, hydrophobicity, physiologically inertia,small surface tension and a low viscosity-temperature coeffi cient, and can be used during -50~180ºC for long term.It is widely used in building materials, electronics, transportation, petrochemical, textile fi nishing, medicine and health care, aviation scientifi c research and technology. It is also can be used as additives in plastics processing in order to improve release ability of plastic and wear resistance, also as additives in paint and polish.
