(lPA), also known as dimethylcarbinol, 2-propyl alcohol, also known as IPA, isan organic compound. lt exists in liquid form at room temperature, colorless and transparent,and has a smell similar to ethanol (commonly known as alcohol). lts chemical structuralformula is C3H80, the relative molecular weight is 60.095, , melting point (flashpoint 11.7 degrees Celsius), according to the chemical source network data show that IPA can be miscible with ethanol, ether, and water, can dissolve rosin,alkaloids, synthetic resins, rubber, shellac and other organic and some inorganic substancesinsoluble in salt solution.

3IPA is an important intermediate in theproduction of pesticides, which can produce fungicides suchas oryzoline and isoryzoline, insecticidal and acaricidal agentssuch as aminopropyl, thiophosphorion, methylissalichos,propoxur, Fenvalerate, etc., as well as herbicides such asisopropachlor, and can prepare isopropane bromide andisopropane chloride, which are also important intermediatesof pesticides.
4.Extraction solvent, carrier solvent.GB 2760-1996: Spices forfood use temporarily permitted. Used for beet sugar,confectionery,nutritional supplement tablets, hop extract,lemon oil, spice oleoresin, yeast and other processing.5.lt is widely used as organic raw material and solvent.
